The car could run and drive, but it was definetly rough. It was running a way too rich mixture, the horn and headlights didn't work, the interior was missing bits and pieces, plus its was pretty worn out, it was running the wrong oil, the steering rack was loose, the steering column too, the by pass valve was replaced with a cheap blow off valve, the pedals were oddly positioned, the ECU was hanging loose under the dash, and the clutch had way too much travel. But even if that sounds bad, it drove pretty well, surprisingly.

The engine was swapped for an EJ257 from a more modern STI with forged internals, had big brembo brakes from a newer STI, plus the STI wheels from a bug/blobeye, and the interior seats were swapped for the ones of a Type-R Version IV. And the ECU was a Power FC by APEXi.

My mission is to restore the car to its former glory, and keep some of the upgrades, the engine is awesome, but I'd like to have the original EJ207 to have the complete GC8 experience, and I'd like to get the correct interior pieces. Sadly, in my country we only can drive LHD cars, so the car had to be swapped from its original driving position, but that isn't a problem really. I might have to get an aftermarket wheel though.

I honestly love the car, I wanted it since I was three years old, and I've been restoring it from the first day I got it! It has come a long way, and its getting better and better if I do say so myself.

My objective is to turn it into a fun daily driver that's competent on the track, and its going really well so far!
