Subaru EJ20G

Register for Subarus built with EJ20G Turbocharged Engine

Subaru introduced the EJ Series of horizontally opposed, 4-cylinder, overhead camshaft engines in 1989, with the first generation Subaru Legacy. The EJ20G variation, used on performance Legacy RS models, featured double-overhead camshafts and a turbocharger to boost power to 220 PS (162 kW). From 1992, the EJ20G was upgraded to 240 PS (176 kW) for use in the new Impreza WRX where it gained it’s legendary reputation.
