Air Suspension

Register for Electro-Pneumatic Suspension (EP-S)

Electro-Pneumatic Suspension, or EP-S for short, was first introduced by Subaru as an option on the Leone in 1984. It was later offered on high-specification versions of other models such as the Alycone and Legacy, and even on early Impreza models build for the Japanese Domestic Market.

The system was phased out during the late-1990s as conventional spring and damper systems improved, making the advantages of air suspension less cost effective.
